Frequently Asked Question
If you don’t see your particular question listed below, please email us at PinnacleArms@outlook.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible!
How do I verify you are a legitimate, licensed business?
Pinnacle Arms & Armory, LLC is a registered business with the North Carolina Secretary of State and is fully licensed by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). We operate under Federal Firearms License (FFL) #1-56-001-07-8C-16084, which can be verified anytime using the ATF’s FFL eZ Check system.
How long does it take to get paid?
We offer flexible payment schedules based on the speed at which your firearms are sold. Unlike other services that pay only once everything is sold, we provide ongoing payouts as sales occur rather than waiting for a full liquidation.
Most clients choose weekly or bi-weekly payments, but we can customize a payment schedule that fits your needs. We also offer same-day wire transfers for fast access to your funds once sales are processed.
How do I get my firearm(s) to you?
For your convenience and safety, we come to you. As a licensed FFL, we are legally permitted to pick up firearms directly from your location. We perform an on-site inventory, secure each firearm, and provide a receipt for everything we take into our custody. You never have to ship anything or transport firearms yourself unless you prefer to.
What happens if my firearm(s) are lost or damaged in transit?
In nearly all cases, we personally pick up your firearms and handle transport ourselves, eliminating the risks associated with third-party shipping. Every firearm we take possession of is documented, insured, and transported securely by our licensed team to maintain full chain-of-custody control.
For long-distance collections where shipping is necessary, we coordinate using trusted carriers. In the rare event of loss or damage during transport, your firearms are protected by our insurance coverage, and you are fully compensated according to documented market value. Your assets are protected from the moment we take possession until the final sale.
What do you do with my firearm(s) after you take possession of them?
Once we receive your firearms, we officially log them into our ATF-bound book as required by federal law. Each firearm is then cataloged, photographed, researched, and appraised. After that, we begin marketing and selling them individually to maximize value. Everything is stored securely until sold, and you can track the sale progress and earnings in real time through a shared spreadsheet.
Do you liquidate accessories?
Yes, we do. Magazines, optics, ammunition, holsters, reloading equipment, and other accessories can be included in your estate liquidation. While accessories don’t require the same legal handling as serialized firearms, we still organize and market them professionally to increase your total return. High-value accessories like scopes and optics are listed individually, while lower-value items may be grouped for resale efficiency.
How does your 20% fee work?
Our service fee is simple and transparent. Pinnacle Arms & Armory retains 20% of the net sale price after all selling costs and fees are deducted. That means we only get paid when you do — and we are incentivized to get you the highest return possible.
Do you buy guns outright?
Yes, in some cases we can purchase firearms or entire collections outright if you prefer a faster payout instead of a full liquidation process. However, you will always earn more money through consignment liquidation because it allows us to sell each firearm closer to true market value.
How long does the process take?
Most estate liquidations are completed in 6–8 weeks, depending on the size of the collection and current market demand. Rare, collectible, or specialty firearms may require additional time to reach the right buyers for maximum value.
Do you handle NFA items like suppressors or SBRs?
We do not currently process NFA/Class III items such as suppressors, short-barreled rifles (SBRs), or short-barreled shotguns (SBS). At this time, our FFL does not include a Class III SOT endorsement. However, we are actively evaluating demand and may add NFA capabilities in the future. If you have NFA items as part of your collection, we are happy to refer you to a trusted partner who is licensed to handle them.
Do I retain ownership of my firearms during the process?
Yes. You retain full ownership of your firearms until they are sold. We operate under a consignment and liquidation agreement that outlines responsibilities and protections for both parties. Your firearms are never sold without documentation and approval.
What areas do you serve?
We are based in North Carolina and primarily serve clients across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. However, we routinely travel for large collections and estate liquidations and can provide on-site appraisal and secure firearm pickup anywhere in the United States.
In most cases, we come directly to you to evaluate the collection, provide an itemized inventory, and transport firearms safely under our FFL. This eliminates shipping concerns and ensures full security and legal compliance during the process. Whether you’re local or across the country, we can help.
